The short version. No accounts. Your rosters and games are not stored on our servers; they live in the links you share. No tracking cookies, no ads, and we do not sell your data.
Who we are
50 State Hoops is operated by Drapetomania LLC. You can reach us at hello@50statehoops.com.
What you give us, and what happens to it
- Your build lives in the URL. The roster you edit, the dials you set, and the games you run are encoded into the link itself. There is no database of your teams. Close the tab, and the only copy is whatever link you shared.
- Game write-ups go through our AI provider. When the wire writes a recap, we send the game data (scores, stat lines, and any team or GM name you typed) to Anthropic, the provider that runs the model. Under its commercial API terms, Anthropic does not use this to train its models. Tip: if you would rather not send a name, do not enter one; the game works fine without it.
- Share cards are computed, not stored. The card image is rendered from the link on request. We keep no gallery of your games.
Limited technical information
- IP address. We briefly process your IP address to enforce rate limits so one person cannot overload the wire desk. It is not linked to your games, not used to identify you, and not sold.
- Anonymous counts. We keep simple tallies, such as how many write-ups the desk filed today. Numbers only, no personal information.
Payments
If you tip the desk, the payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by the Stripe privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Service providers
- Anthropic writes the game recaps.
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Upstash powers rate limiting and the anonymous counters.
- Stripe processes optional tips.
Your choices
Because we store no accounts and no builds, there is no saved copy of your data to look up or delete. Questions: hello@50statehoops.com.
Children
50 State Hoops is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
